In a word - Ownership.
Apps can often become a crutch for people - encouraging people to outsource their needs, and the monitoring of progress to an ‘other’, rather than building a deep connection with themselves, to know what they need, and work through what’s there for them.
Clients often say they start with an app but it's not giving them what they need anymore, because once it’s satiated the initial need to ‘calm down’…. Now what?
We move away from outsourcing to ownership - from consumption to creation - because this is INNATE and you don’t need the ‘data’ to tell you how you feel - we're developing your discernment... and an over reliance on outsourcing and tech is why we have this problem to solve in the first place.
'Presenteeism' (representing £21.1 - £23.4b of the £45billion p/y that poor mental health is costing UK businesses *Deloitte) and declining Emotional Intelligence (consisting of well-being, self-control, emotionality, and sociability) are largely due to an 'always-on' culture driven by technology, and these studies show technology is associated with decreased well-being and self control.
We’ve forgotten how to inspect, trust and direct ourselves...
But it's INNATE, remember who you are.
Mindfulness practices are a great awareness practice… taking time to tune in and see what’s there is an important step. However, once you’ve become aware of 'that thing', what do you do with it?
The key value in becoming aware of something is that you’re able to do something with it - knowledge is only useful if you use it well, and cognitively understanding something is a world away from a resulting behaviour change.
So we teach people how to process, understand and integrate their own experience... so they can both understand, make better decisions and take aligned action.
Studies have shown that 'mindfulness' is no more effective than exercise at relieving stress, can even increase stress.and can lead to dissociation of the individual.
Whereas, we work with the nervous system to determine stress, tolerance and recovery states, as well as improving quality of attention.
Introduce teams to the benefits of a deeper understanding of themselves, how they show up to and can meet work/life situations with more consciousness and ease.
An organisation is not a separate entity in and of itself, it is an accumulation of people, all with their own beliefs, fears, drivers, strengths and blockers.

That age old question of ‘why am I here’? can be easily addressed, tapped into and used for greater happiness, engagement, power and performance to create great things. People no longer want to trade money for time, but need to invest their energy meaningfully and have the opportunity to truly thrive at work.
Studies show that Emotional Intelligence is on the decline...
Meditation - is self awareness and self realisation - EQ is impossible without this.
Without this connection to self, we cannot have the empathy needed to collaborate, or create human and environment centric products.
Understand yourself to understand all.
This is a reminder that humans are inextricably connected to each other and our environment, we must remember the big picture view to function at potential.
There is an innate part of you that’s been forgotten, as we’ve immersed ourselves in the the systems, processes and acquisitions of life.
Reconnect to the innate and use that knowledge and power to create new and better systems, products and services, designed to serve people and life itself. So we thrive.
This is a self fulfilling/virtuous loop, dealt with at root cause.
We don’t always need a new layer of complexity to solve a problem (that we probably created), often we just need to return to a greater, innate intelligence.
